The purpose of the Habitat Nature Preserve is to protect the natural area while offering the local community access to connect with nature in a quiet setting and learn more about the plants and animals that inhabit an ecosystem transitioning into a mature forest. The property was acquired by the Town of Ulysses in 2018 and is adjacent to the Village of Trumansburg, close to the Farmer’s Market. A single trail from the entrance becomes a “figure 8” loop near the picnic table. Contact the Town of Ulysses at (607)387-5767 for more information.
