The Coddington Valley Rail Trail will be a 7.8 mile rail trail extending from the end of the South Hill Recreation Way at Burns Road to the Tompkins County/Tioga County Line. It is currently in development through a joint effort by the Towns of Ithaca, Dryden, Danby and Caroline. The Friends of Coddington Valley Rail Trail is coordinating volunteer efforts to support the development.

The trail will pass through mixed forest and picturesque valleys, with the last several miles running along wetlands, providing abundant wildlife and particularly bird watching.
