The Gorge Trail extends approximately 1 mile along Taughannock Creek before reaching the tallest single-drop waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains – Taughannock Falls. In addition to the 215-foot Taughannock Falls, one other waterfall can be viewed from the Gorge Trail, known as Little or Lower Falls, is located near the lower trailhead. The George Trail offers an easy family-oriented hike through unique ecological communities with a diversity of plants and animals.
