The Wilson trail at Sapucker Woods is the most popular trail at the Lab of Ornithology offering a 3/4 mile walk through four habitats - mature forest, young forest, marsh, and swamp. The Sapsucker Woods Pond provides a home for countless species of frogs, waterfowl, turtles, and insects allowing for ample wildlife viewing and excellent birding throughout the trail and at multiple observation platforms. The trail begins and ends at the Lab of Ornithology Visitor Center which houses exhibits, art, and videos about the world of birds. Field guides, binoculars, and additional information are available at the Visitor Center front desk.
