Buttermilk Creek drops 600 feet as it plunges through a gorge down the eastern slope of the Cayuga Valley at the southernmost edge of the City of Ithaca. This is one of six trails featured in the park that wander through a remarkable variety of landscapes. You can hike the Gorge Trail which follows the cool, moist gorge past deep pools, water-sculpted rocks including “Pinnacle Rock” and several waterfalls. NOTE: THIS TRAIL IS CLOSED IN WINTER
