A somewhat rigorous, mostly meadowland hike that occasionally tucks into the woods near the neighboring Newfield State Forest or our 10 acre woods. Heading west this trail borders the Remembrance Grove, and West Meadow with Joel’s Bench sited along our western boundary with the Arnot Forest. To the south it tucks briefly into our 10-acre woods eventually connecting to the Herb Engman Loop, Wind Phone until it breaks where the Herb Engman Loop turns north and the Perimeter Trail continues to head east. Along our northern boundary with the Newfield State Forest you’ll see an oak tree estimated to be more than 150 years old and natural burial areas including Kestrel and Bobolink Meadows. Start at the West Meadow parking area and head west.
